I shot my first wedding in High School when I was 15, and have been shooting ever since! I have 10+ years of experience and counting.

I am based in Montana but I am ALL about exploring the world that we live in. I have shot weddings/engagements in North Carolina, Washington,Wyoming, Idaho and Nevada! so if you’re planning a wedding or elopement getaway, reach out ASAP to book with me!

It definitely varies from each package that I offer and how the day goes. For small shoots and engagements/adventure sessions, it will be around 50-70, and for weddings, it’s between 200-800. Just know that I promise to give you your memories captured in all of the best ways possible in your final gallery.

Yes!! I have been in this biz long enough to know each day has different needs, and everyone has different priorities. We can always add on coverage, a second shooter, or a specialty session!

Having a second shooter can be a great addition to your wedding day coverage. With two photographers, we can capture those special “getting ready” moments simultaneously, even if you and your partner are in separate locations before the ceremony. A second shooter also provides different angles and perspectives, ensuring no important moment is missed—especially during key events like your ceremony.

Think of it this way: as you walk down the aisle, you might want photos of your glowing smile, the intricate details of your dress or attire from behind, and your partner’s emotional reaction—all at the same time. While I do my best to capture these moments when working solo, having a second shooter helps guarantee every perspective is covered.

Additionally, for weddings with more than 150 guests, a second photographer is highly recommended to ensure all your loved ones are documented while I focus on you and your partner. It’s all about making sure every moment, big and small, is beautifully preserved.

Sometimes we’ll get rained out (like, if it downpours) for small shoots, and if that’s the case, I allow one reschedule! If it’s on your wedding day, let's EMBRACE IT. I’ve shot some of my most favorite images in the wind and rain. That day is YOURS and you might as well embrace whatever gets thrown your way.

Yes, once delivered, you have the rights to do whatever you would like with the photographs. I do, however, ask for credit by name for any businesses that use my work for any public or marketing purposes.

To book your wedding date or photo session with Alyssa Johnson Photography, start by filling out the contact form with details like your event date, location, and what you’re envisioning for your session. Once I receive your information, I’ll follow up with wedding/photo session package options and we can schedule a time to chat—whether that’s over the phone, via FaceTime, or in person over a drink. This will give us a chance to connect, answer any questions, and ensure I understand exactly what you're looking for.

If you decide to move forward, I’ll send over an agreement form for your review, along with a 20% retainer to secure your wedding or elopement date. For other photo sessions, a 50% retainer will be required to hold your spot. I’m excited to work with you and can’t wait to be part of your special day!

Once we have a location and date picked, I would choose a few of your favorite outfits! Something casual like jeans and a blouse and then something a little dressier, like a fun flowy dress photographs so well! I also don’t believe in over accessorizing ;)

For all small shoots and engagement sessions, they will be back to you in 1 -2 weeks or less. For your wedding day, your online gallery will be sent to you in 4 weeks or less.
